Cookie policy
Last updated: 25 June 2026
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. This page explains what is stored in your browser when you visit, and how to remove it.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Cookies let sites remember information between page loads. Not all browser storage is a cookie: this site also uses localStorage, a similar mechanism that stores data only on your device and is never sent to a server.
Storage this site uses
This site does not set any first-party cookies. We store one item in your browser's localStorage:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| cll_cookie_consent | localStorage | Remembers whether you accepted or declined non-essential cookies, so the consent banner does not appear on every visit. | Until you clear site data |
This item is technically necessary for the consent mechanism to work. It is never transmitted to our server and is not accessible to third parties.
Third-party content
Some images on this site are loaded from images.pexels.com, operated by Canva. When your browser fetches an image, it sends a standard HTTP request to Pexels' CDN. Pexels may log this request and set cookies in accordance with their own privacy policy at pexels.com/privacy-policy.
There are no social media widgets, advertising networks, or analytics scripts on this site. No Facebook pixels, Google Analytics tags, or similar tracking technologies are loaded.
Your choices
On your first visit, a banner lets you accept all cookies or allow only necessary storage. You can change this at any time by clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings.
In most browsers: Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → Cookies and site data. You can clear this site only or clear all.
You can also block third-party cookies or restrict all cookies using your browser settings. This site will continue to work if you do.
Legal basis
This site operates in the United Kingdom. Our use of browser storage is governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). The cll_cookie_consent localStorage item is set on the basis of legitimate interests: it is technically necessary to record the preference you expressed. No personal data is collected or processed through this mechanism.
Changes to this policy
If we add analytics or other cookies in future we will update this page and display the consent banner again. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
