Lock Change & Replacement

Changing a lock is worth doing whenever you move into a new home, after a break-in, after losing keys, or when the current lock is worn. You have no way of knowing how many copies of the original keys exist.

We fit cylinder and mortice locks that meet BS3621, the standard most insurers require for external doors. We carry Mul-T-Lock, Yale, and Banham cylinders on the van and can order others for a return visit.

Hardware is quoted separately so you know what you are paying for. Labour is £61 per lock. A new cylinder supplied and fitted typically runs £56–£124 including parts, depending on the security grade — a high-security upgrade (British Standard 1-star to 3-star) is £225–£600.
